A online services startup in Philippines needed to setup a technical team from scratch. The team would development, enhancements, integration, and quality assurance of the software, and the implementation and operations of infrastructure for testing and production. We were to recruit, train and organize the entire technical team, to manage the teams in the deployment and operations of services.

We first explored the business to understand the scope and requirements of the services and their technical deployment. An organization chart was developed to deliver these scope and requirements, and with the help of a local HR manager and regional recruiters, we screened and recruited locally and around the region.

Due to the high level of performance, integrity, and security requirements of the services, the recruitment process was intensive and demanding. Infrastructure, tools, and processes for development, testing, and deployment with strict controls were put in place to ensure the quality and integrity of the services deployed.

The project lasted for 20 months, resulting in the deployment and operations of 3 applications, before it was handed over to the local team.
